FHIT is used for assessing semicircular canal functioning. Each canal can be assessed individually in a more precise and accurately. FHIT assess the functions of VOR in maintaining the image on the fovea of the retina during head movements. Defective VOR results in slippage of image resulting in blurring of vision.
